Man found dead in Vancouver after being hit by car identified

Patrick James Sellem, 38, died from blunt-force injuries after a car crashed into him, the medical examiner reported.

A man who died after being hit by a car in Vancouver last week has been publicly identified as Patrick James Sellem, the Clark County Medical Examiner’s Office reported.

Police arrived at a public parking lot in the 2100 block of Northeast Andresen Road on July 8 to conduct a welfare check on a man lying under a tree. Sellem, 38, was already dead when officers got there, Vancouver police said.

Officers found an unoccupied vehicle nearby that they believe was connected to the man’s death. Police dogs discovered a woman, Luella F. Roberson, near the car, and officers arrested her, police reported.

Sellem died from blunt-force injuries after a car crashed into him, the medical examiner reported.

Roberson, 32, remains in custody at Clark County jail and faces vehicular homicide and other likely charges, according to Clark County jail records. Her bail is set at $500,000.
