One person dead after shooting in SE Portland

One person is dead after a shooting in Southeast Portland late Friday night.

Police responded to a report of a shooting in Sellwood Riverfront Park at about 11:15 p.m. and found the victim deceased when they arrived.

The victim is male, but police told The Oregonian/OregonLive they were unable to specify if he was an adult or a minor until his identity was confirmed.

Homicide detectives are investigating and believe that several people were in the area when the shooting happened but left without talking to police.
