Oregon has 3 of the 15 highest-rated resorts in the U.S., according to a new ranking

Longtime popular Oregon coast destination the Stephanie Inn is No. 1 on a new list of the highest-rated resorts in the United States.

Travel website Trips to Discover “analyzed TripAdvisor reviews for over 2,500 resorts in the U.S.” to come up with its list of the top 15.

Oregon resorts captured three of the top 10 spots in the ranking, coming in at No. 1, No. 3 and No. 6 respectively. All three are in the same Oregon coast community: Cannon Beach.

The Stephanie Inn beat out the Prince Waikiki in Honolulu for the top spot. The Hawaii resort came in second overall.

Long a popular destination for luxurious beach getaways, the Stephanie Inn captured the top slot thanks to a high percentage of four- and five-star Trip Advisor reviews that praised the hotel’s “top-notch” food and romantic atmosphere.

The Inn at Cannon Beach captured the third spot in the ranking. The Inn drew praise from TripAdvisor reviewers for its cozy “pet enthusiastic” – not just pet friendly – cottages.

The Ocean Lodge, a family-friendly resort option, located near the Stephanie Inn in Cannon Beach, came in at No. 6.

Both the Stephanie Inn and Ocean Lodge got high scores for their views of the ocean and Haystack Rock. The Inn at Cannon Beach doesn’t offer ocean views, but reviewers said that the property’s gardens nestled in a rustic, wooded setting made up for the lack of a true ocean view.
