A man suspected of crashing his RV into another man, killing him, was arrested Tuesday night, Vancouver police reported.

Andrew R. Roberts was taken into custody soon after the crash occurred in a Vancouver parking lot.

Officers responded to reports of a “physical disturbance” between two men in the 13200 block of Northeast Leroy Haagen Memorial Drive around 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. One of the men got into his RV, allegedly ran over the other man with the vehicle and drove away, police reported.

The victim, whose name hasn’t been released, was transported to a local hospital and later died, according to the police report.

A Clark County Sheriff’s Office deputy and Vancouver police detectives pursued the driver of the RV. They located Roberts and the vehicle near Northeast Fourth Plain Boulevard and 162nd Avenue and took him into custody.

Roberts is being held at Clark County jail and faces vehicular homicide and other likely charges, according to Clark County jail records. He is due to appear in court Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. The incident is still being investigated.

Another fatal crash occurred in Vancouver two days ago, after a woman allegedly crashed her car into a man sitting under a tree and fled the scene, police reported.
