Portland police publicly identified a man shot to death last week in Southeast Portland as Kelly D. Ankeny Jr.
Officers responding to a report of a shooting arrived in the 13000 block of Southeast Stark Street on Tuesday, May 21, shortly before 1:30 a.m. There, they found Ankeny, 39, of Portland, suffering from gunshot wounds. They provided first aid at the scene before Ankeny was taken to a nearby hospital, where he died.
