The Oregon Ducks added another powerful defensive presence to their 2025 recruiting class.
Three-star defensive lineman Josiah Sharma announced his commitment to the Ducks on Friday. The 6-foot-5, 295-pound defensive tackle chose Oregon over Alabama, Texas and Washington. Sharma was formerly committed to the Huskies before reopening his recruitment after Kalen DeBoer’s departure.
Sharma comes to Oregon by way of Folsom High School in Folsom, California. In his junior year of high school, Sharma had 45 tackles in 11 games including 15 tackles for loss and five sacks, according to MaxPreps.
Oregon sits at 12 players so far from the 2025 class. Sharma joins a group of Ducks commits that includes four-star wide receivers Dallas Wilson (TX), Cooper Perry (AZ) and Isaiah Mozee (MO); four-star running backs Dierre Hill (IL) and Jordon Davison (CA); four-star quarterback Akili Smith Jr. (CA); four-star interior offensive lineman Ziyare Addison (FL); four-star linebacker Nasir Wyatt (CA); four-star edge rusher Matthew Johnson (CA); four-star cornerback Brandon Finney; and three-star offensive tackle Demetri Manning (WA).
