The Portland Trail Blazers announced Thursday that they have signed guard Bryce McGowens to a two-way contract.
The 6-foot-7 McGowens will join the team for summer league play, which starts Saturday against the San Antonio Spurs in Las Vegas, Nevada.
McGowens, selected by Minnesota in the second round of the 2022 NBA draft, spent the past two seasons with the Charlotte Hornets.
He appeared in 105 games with 21 starts. In 15.9 minutes per game, McGowens averaged 5.2 points with 1.9 rebounds while shooting 41.9% from the field and 33.0% from beyond the arc.
McGowens’s shooting percentage rose to 43.9% last season, up from 39.6% during his rookie season.
