Portland Parks & Recreation reopened the Sellwood Outdoor Pool and indoor pool at the Southwest Community Center near Gabriel Park on Saturday.
The Parks Bureau had to close the Sellwood pool for cleaning Friday when someone defecated in the water, city officials told The Oregonian/OregonLive.
The Southwest Community Center pool closed Friday because of an HVAC issue, the Parks Bureau said.
There were also reports on Facebook that the Ida B. Wells-Barnett Outdoor Pool closed Friday afternoon because of a power outage in the area. That pool is open today.
Two other Portland outdoor pools remain closed.
Montavilla Outdoor Pool is scheduled to be closed until July 22 for “a planned upgrade to the pool’s plumbing that required a more complex solution to achieve federal compliance,” the city said in a recent press release.
And on Monday, city officials announced that Pier Pool in North Portland would close for an indeterminate amount of time “due to a significant water line failure.”
