The Stephanie Inn, a popular Oregon coast destination for decades, keeps raking in the accolades from Travel+Leisure.
Back in April, the magazine named the inn one of the “15 Best Beach Resorts in the U.S.” Now, the Cannon Beach resort has made the cut for “Travel + Leisure Readers’ 15 Favorite Inns in the Continental U.S. of 2024.”
The magazine likes inns because “there’s an intimacy to a smaller property, a kind of small-town warmth and collegiality so often struck up at these places that you many not find at a behemoth resort.”
For these awards, Travel+Leisure asked readers to rate inns on five criteria: rooms/facilities, locations, service, food and value. The final scores are an average of the reader responses across all categories.
The Stephanie Inn, which came in at No. 15, was the only property in the Pacific Northwest that made this list.
Long known as a romantic destination since the hotel does not allow guests under 12 years old, the Stephanie Inn boasts a spa with offerings including a 90-minute “Lavender Body Melt for $210. The award-winning restaurant serves four-course meals focusing on local ingredients for $99.
For July and August, room rates listed on the inn’s website vary from $669 to $1,239 a night.
The other West Coast entries in “Travel + Leisure Readers’ 15 Favorite Inns in the Continental U.S. of 2024” are all in California: No. 2 Villa Mara in Carmel-by-the-Sea, No. 6 The Inn Above Tide in Sausalito, No. 9 Farmhouse Inn in Forestville, No. 11 H2Hotel in Healdsburg and No. 12 Holiday House in Palm Springs.
